Asoebi Fashion Week
Overview
Asoebi Fashion Week is being developed as the global home of Asoebi fashion, culture and celebration. The platform brings together the Asoebi Fashion Prize, Asoebi Vendor, live events and community participation.
The website needed to introduce a new cultural fashion platform, establish a distinctive identity and support real applications, registrations and internal review workflows.

Challenges
What needed to be solved.
The platform needed to feel rooted in African fashion without resembling a generic event or technology landing page.
The product direction evolved from a traditional fashion-week website into a broader fashion, commerce and cultural ecosystem.
Public forms needed to manage duplicate submissions, email failures and sensitive age-verification documents without creating confusing user experiences.
The administrative experience needed to remain secure and practical for a small team without introducing an unnecessarily complex account system.
Approach
How the work was structured.
Developed a flexible design system that combines editorial layouts, brand-led colour, fashion imagery and restrained interaction motion.
Restructured the public experience around the Fashion Prize, Asoebi Vendor, the After Party, founders and participation opportunities.
Separated form schemas, hooks, submission actions, email templates and database operations into focused feature modules.
Created passwordless administrator access for approved team members using named account selection and email-delivered one-time codes.
Added responsive application tables, filters, review statuses, protected document access and spreadsheet-safe CSV exports.
Established automated tests for forms, validation, email templates, administrator workflows, UI components and accessibility-sensitive interactions.
Outcome
What the experience became.
The resulting platform gives Asoebi Fashion Week a distinctive digital presence that communicates its cultural vision while supporting real audience growth and Prize applications.
Applicants can submit collections and receive confirmation emails, while the AEFW team can securely review entries, track application progress and manage waitlist data from one dashboard.
The architecture provides a foundation for future marketplace, accreditation, newsletter and event-management capabilities.
